桑田卓郎は、素材やプロセスとの対話を通して、作品を制作している。 Otherwise, "you'll end up with your mind elsewhere." For example, works such as "Kairagi" and "Tenki" are honest expressions of what moved me during the pottery process, conveyed through my current environment. Kuwata's work is characterized by a refined sense of form and pop colors, but despite being ceramics, it is not bound by conventional ideas, possessing a Japanese character while also having a global universality. As he has held more solo exhibitions overseas, Kuwata says he has discovered new values. Creativity is born from that discovery, and empathy is born from that emotion. It is the "freedom of spirit" that is present, which is probably why it resonates with so many young people across genres. | Biography Biography | Born in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture in 1981. Graduated from Kyoto Saga University of Arts Junior College, Department of Fine Arts, Ceramics Course in 2001. 2006 Mashiko Ceramic Art Exhibition, Shoji Hamada Award 2009: Grand Prix, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, 17th Tableware Festival 2013 "Contemporary Masterpieces of Tea Bowls" Kikuchi Kanmi Memorial Chishin Museum / Tokyo 2022 Japan Ceramic Society Award (2021 fiscal year) |
