History
In 1976, under the guidance of many teachers including Mr. Tokuro Kato, Ms. Fusenko Okochi, and Ms. Hyoko Kazue, I opened my practice on the 7th floor of the Daian Building in Shinjuku East Exit.
The former Kakiden Gallery was designed by Dr. Yoshiro Taniguchi, the same architect who designed the "Kyoto Kaiseki Kakiden" restaurant, resulting in a gallery with a dignified Japanese aesthetic.
In April 2008, the restaurant relocated and reopened on the second basement floor of the Yasuyo Building, which also houses the Kyoto-style kaiseki restaurant Kakiden, after being located in the familiar Daian Building for many years.
We commissioned Mr. Yukio Hashimoto, famous for designing the interior of the Peninsula Hotel in Hibiya, Tokyo, to design the gallery, and the elegant and modern new Kakiden Gallery has been completed.
