| Introduction Introduction |
One hot and humid night in June, I had a very strange dream. Our gallery, formerly known as "Kakiden Gallery," has been transformed into a consumer electronics store called "Kakidenki." And the best-selling product from "Kaki Electric" was a pure white refrigerator, which was adorned all over with beautiful, shaded white porcelain decorations by Nami Takahashi ...
Nami Takahashi is a female ceramic artist who works diligently in Nerima, Tokyo, creating beautiful white porcelain pieces that depict the shadows and folds of plants, using the fruits and seeds of plants as her motifs. Thanks to everyone's support, this is the 8th Nami Takahashi exhibition at our gallery. Her fresh tea ceramic works have become more refined with each passing year, taking on an even more tea-like character. In recent years, his work has expanded beyond white porcelain to include gorgeous platinum-colored pieces, matte jet-black pieces, and even pieces labeled "Gorgonzola" with a touch of blue, further broadening the range of his work and increasing his popularity.
I have long suggested to Nami that we hold a tea ceremony in the tea room above our gallery when she holds a solo exhibition here, and now we are pleased to announce that Nami will be hosting her first-ever "Risshu Tea Ceremony" on Wednesday, August 7th. Of course, I will be in the kitchen on that day as well. I understand that it may be inconvenient for you, but I would be delighted if you could attend.
Now, in this exhibition, I will be presenting over 100 of my latest works. Unfortunately, the white porcelain refrigerator in question will not be offered for sale (tears), but I would be delighted if you would take a look at the other items. I apologize for the exhibition taking place in the scorching heat of August.
