My encounter with Nami dates back to 2009, when I asked her to hold her first solo exhibition. When I first saw your work, I remember being instantly captivated by the beautiful, sharp forms with their striking shadows, and the feminine gentleness I sensed within them.
Later, at a solo exhibition held at my home two years ago, she tried her hand at making tea bowls for the first time, and I really liked those bowls and use them often. I'm so glad that Nami herself is studying the tea ceremony and is therefore very knowledgeable about its uses.
This will be his third solo exhibition at our gallery, and he has tackled tea ceremony ceramics more than ever before. The refined forms and cool, clean textures of his works are sure to catch the eye of many. Please feel free to pick it up and I would be delighted if you could give me your feedback.

| Biography Biography | 1997: Graduated from Musashino Art University Junior College, Advanced Course in Ceramics. From 1997 to 1999, I was enrolled at the Faenza National School of Ceramics (Italy). 1999: Participated in the International Ceramics Symposium (Bulgaria) Selected for the Asahi Contemporary Craft Exhibition, 2003-2008. 2005, 2008: Inui Gallery (Tokyo) 2008: Selected for the 8th International Ceramics Exhibition, Mino. 2010, 2012: Kakiden Gallery (Shinjuku, Tokyo) 2013: Selected for the 5th Kikuchi Biennale (Chō Museum of Art) |
