On a day in May, when spring and summer are vying for dominance, I visited Ryuta Kiln in Karatsu. At the kiln, Mr. Takashi, Mr. Taki's father, was working the potter's wheel, Mr. Taki and his son Kenta were firing the climbing kiln, and Mr. Taki's grandson Daisuke was running around innocently beside them. It was a great pleasure to meet all four generations of the Ryuta Kiln family.
When I visited, it was right in the final stages of firing the kiln, and the latest works of pottery and tea ceremony ceramics to be exhibited in this exhibition were firing with a roaring sound inside. If I may be so bold, I also added some firewood, throwing two logs in with an underhand throw, just like the sinker thrown by Hisashi Yamada, the famous underhand pitcher for the Hankyu Braves. Taigame-san said, "The firewood Yasuda-san added is the secret ingredient," and I was filled with gratitude for those kind words.

| Biography Biography | Born in Karatsu in 1965. In 1988, I began working with pottery under the guidance of my father, Takashi Nakazato In 1993, exhibited in a three-person exhibition at Kakiden Gallery with Takashi Nakazato and Oku Sanjuro. 1994: Exhibited at a father-son exhibition at Manyodo Miyuki store. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions throughout Japan. |
