It's that time of year again for the Taki Exhibition. I sometimes reflect on why his works are so beloved by everyone. Beyond the inherent appeal of his works, I've come to realize that it's Taiki's personality—his unpretentious nature, the harmonious relationship with his family, the wonderful atmosphere of Ryuta Kiln, and his sincere dedication to the tea ceremony—that draws people in, and that's why his works are so beloved.
That dish is superb. It makes food look great, and I recommend it with confidence. These days, there are fewer and fewer potters who make tea ceremony utensils that aren't necessarily bestsellers, such as water containers, ash containers, and braziers, but he makes them with great care. Having received guidance from the late Professor Hyoko Kazue, her tea ceremony utensils are exceptionally easy to use.
Following last year, I will also be hosting a tea ceremony where I will serve as the host. This year, in addition to his wife, his son Kenta will also be helping out with serving, so the whole family will be there to welcome you. I apologize for bringing you this during the hottest, or rather, scorching hot, time of year, but I will be exhibiting many of my latest works, so I would be delighted if you could come and visit.

| Biography Biography | Born in Karatsu in 1965. In 1988, I began working with pottery under the guidance of my father, Takashi Nakazato In 1993, exhibited in a three-person exhibition at Kakiden Gallery with Takashi Nakazato and Oku Sanjuro. 1994: Exhibited at a father-son exhibition at Manyodo Miyuki store. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions throughout Japan. |

Even if you've never participated in a tea ceremony before, you are more than welcome, so please feel free to come and enjoy a brief moment of tea with tea utensils associated with Karatsu. • Date and Time: Friday, July 26th, two sessions available, seating at 11:00 and 13:00. *Applications closed on July 25th at 12:00 PM.
