On a beautiful spring afternoon in April, I visited Ryuta Kiln in Karatsu for the first time in a long while. Mr. and Mrs. Taki greeted us with beaming smiles.
The new shoots are lush and vibrant, and the sound of water flowing through the kiln is soothing; Ryuta Kiln is a wonderful place that feels like a world away from Shinjuku, no matter when you visit. Mr. Takashi, who happened to be there, and his son Kenta also joined us, so all three generations of the Ryuta Kiln were present, and thanks to them, we were able to spend a relaxed and enjoyable time together.
This exhibition marks the 30th anniversary of Taiki's entry into this field, and will showcase his latest works, imbued with his feelings for Karatsu. I'm really looking forward to seeing what new items will arrive, from tea ceremony ceramics to everyday tableware.
Furthermore, I will be hosting a "Minor Heat Tea Ceremony" myself in the Kakiden Tea Room above our gallery. These days, Taigame-san seems to be seriously dedicated to tea, and his appreciation for tea flavor is deepening more and more. I apologize for asking you to come during this hot weather, but I would be delighted if you could join us for the exhibition.

| Biography Biography | Born in Karatsu in 1965. In 1988, I began working with pottery under the guidance of my father, Takashi Nakazato In 1993, Takashi Nakazato and Oku Sanjuro exhibited their work in a three-person exhibition at Kakiden Gallery. In 1994, exhibited at a father-son exhibition at Manyodo Miyuki store. Solo exhibition held at Isetan Shinjuku store in 1995. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions throughout Japan. |

| special tea party Tea Party | ■Minor Heat Tea Ceremony: July 8th (Sun) We will be hosting a "Minor Heat Tea Ceremony" in the tea room above the Kakiden Gallery, with Taki Nakazato serving as the host. Even if you've never participated in a tea ceremony before, you are more than welcome, so please feel free to come and enjoy a brief moment of tea with tea utensils associated with Karatsu. • Date and Time: Sunday, July 8th, two seats available at 11:00 and 13:00. - Host: Taki Nakazato • Location: Shinjuku Kyo-kaiseki Kakiden (Yasuyo Building, 3-37-11 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) The light tea ceremony room "Zangetsu (9th floor)" and the dim sum room "Kokin Salon (6th floor)" Reception and donations: An'yo Hall (7th floor) *Please arrive 15 minutes before your seat is to be seated.
