早いもので、弊廊での唐津焼の矢野直人展も節目の五回目を迎える事が出来ました。 これもひとえに、毎回、素敵な作品を作ってくださる矢野さんと、矢野作品を愛して止まないお客様の賜物であると心より感謝申し上げます。 誠に有難うございます。
私が初めて矢野さんとお目にかかったのは、平成24年に弊廊で開催した二回目の唐津焼グループ展の折でした。 その際、黒唐津のスッとした瓢型の花入をご出品され、その端正な佇まいが鮮烈で一眼で気に入った事が思い出されます。 初めてお目にかかった若かりし矢野さんの実直なお姿も印象的でした。 あれから14年の月日が流れ、矢野さんも今年、半白(五十歳)の歳を迎え、ご同慶の至りに存じます。まだまだ至らぬ私も齢を重ねるわけですね・・・。
さて、メインビジュアル用にと送っていただいた↑の絵唐津の茶碗は、これまでの矢野茶碗にはない新たな雰囲気を醸し出していました。 熊川風の形に柔らかい薬がかかり、おっとりとした花の絵と高台の土味も矢野さんらしい一風あるものでした。 くだんの黒唐津の花入も、本展では、同手の徳利として、ご出品いただきます。 その他、正月も顧みず、会期のギリギリまで窯を焚きますと仰って頂いた最新作、約100点を展観いたします。 大寒の候の寒い時期で恐縮ですが、どうかご清覧を頂ければ嬉しゅうございます。

| Biography Biography | Born in Karatsu City in 1976. 1994: Studied abroad in the United States for five years. 平成14年 佐賀県立有田窯業大学校 卒業 平成15年 佐賀県立有田窯業大学校 嘱託講師 2004: Began making pottery at his home, Tonoyama Kiln. 2008: Created pottery for six months in Ulsan, South Korea. 2015: Construction of a split-bamboo climbing kiln. |
