Despite the devastating earthquake last New Year's, the heavy rains in September, and the heavy snowfall this winter, the young artisans of Kutani ware continue to work diligently on their creations without wavering.
This year's exhibition, with the addition of promising newcomers, is even more vibrant and refined than before.

| Biography Biography | ▶ Buzan Fukushima Fukushima Buzan Graduated from Ishikawa Prefectural Industrial High School, Design Department in 1963. 1986: Became a full member of the Japan Crafts Association. 1995 Creative Art Exhibition Tokyo Governor's Award 1999: Grand Prix and Prime Minister's Award at the 23rd National Traditional Crafts Exhibition. 2001: Grand Prize at the Traditional Kutani Ware Craft Exhibition 2005: Designated as an Intangible Cultural Property of Ishikawa Prefecture; Member of the Kutani Ware Technique Preservation Society. In 2007, he became the chairman of the Kutani Ware Traditional Crafts Association and received an Excellence Award at the Ishikawa Traditional Crafts Exhibition. 2015: Created a watch dial (ceramic comparison) for Hermès. 2016: The 1st Mitsui Golden Craftsmanship Award Ishikawa Prefecture Cultural Merit Award Buzan Fukushima 2022 "Mastering the Art" Exhibition ~The Lineage and Development of Akae Saibyo~ (Nomi City Kutani Ware Museum) ▶ Masako Inoue Inoue Masako Graduated from Ishikawa Prefectural Kutani Ware Technical Training Institute in 2002. Certified as a Kutani ware traditional craftsman in 2013. 2019: 58th Japan Contemporary Craft Art Exhibition, Contemporary Craft Award 2022: Member's Award, 60th Japan Contemporary Craft Art Exhibition ▶ Sachiyo Oosugi Osugi Sachiyo In 2015, he studied under Buzan Fukushima a Kutani ware artist specializing in red enamel painting. 2016: Received the "Hotel New Grand Award" at the 52nd Kanagawa Prefectural Art Exhibition (first entry). 2018: First time selected for the 65th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition. In 2023, became a full member of the Japan Crafts Association and a member of the Toto Association, founded by Itaya Hazan. ▶ Emi Oda Oda Emi 1995: Graduated from Ishikawa Prefectural Kutani Ware Technical Training Institute 2006: Special Prize, 9th Japan Traditional Craftsmen's Association Exhibition 2012: Prime Minister's Award at the National Traditional Crafts Competition Instructor at Ishikawa Prefectural Kutani Ware Technical Training Institute since 2021 ▶ Satomi Kawada Kawada Satomi 2005: Graduated from the Ishikawa Prefectural Kutani Ware Technical Training Institute (Main Course) In 2007, he studied under Toshihito Nakamura, a full member of the Japan Crafts Association. Certified as a Traditional Japanese Craftsman in 2017. Currently, I am a lecturer in flower arrangement at Kanazawa College of Art and a lecturer in thin painting at the Ishikawa Prefectural Kutani Ware Technical Training Institute. ▶ Rieko Kawabata Kawabata Rieko Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1982. 2013 IKEYAN☆Audition Grand Prix 2014: Encouragement Award, 37th Traditional Kutani Ware Craft Exhibition 2018: 42nd Ishikawa Prefecture Traditional Industry Technology Encouragement Award ▶ Takayuki Gannyo Gannyo Takayuki Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1982. 2018: Selected for the 13th Nomi City Art Exhibition Graduated from the Ishikawa Prefectural Kutani Ware Technical Training Institute, Research Course in 2020. 2024 51st Ishikawa Prefecture Design Exhibition Kanazawa Mayor's Award ▶ Shinya Kanbata Kanbata shinya Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1983. 2014: 70th Anniversary Contemporary Art Exhibition, Grand Prize (Kanazawa Mayor's Award and Technical Award) 2016: 55th Japan Contemporary Craft Art Exhibition, Grand Prize for Contemporary Crafts 2024, 11th Nitten Exhibition, Non-Judging ▶ Third Generation Kingyoku Nakada Nakada Kingyoku Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1972. In 2016, became a Kutani ware traditional craftsman. 2017 Ishikawa Prefecture Traditional Industry Outstanding Technician Encouragement Award 2019, 22nd Japan Traditional Craftsmen's Association Exhibition: Ichinoseki Mayor's Award 2021: Technical Award at the 44th Traditional Kutani Ware Craft Exhibition 2022: 45th Traditional Kutani Ware Craft Exhibition, Hokkoku Shimbun Award 2023: Selected for the 70th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition for the work "Gentle Breeze" (a white gold-plated white grain box). Kanazawa Castle/Kenrokuen Grand Tea Ceremony 27th Craftworks Open Call Exhibition (Kanagawa Prefectural Art and Culture Association Chairman's Award) In 2024, he received the Technical Award at the 47th Traditional Kutani Craft Exhibition and became Vice Chairman of the Kutani Ware Traditional Craftsmen's Association. 2025 50th Gafu Exhibition 20th Contemporary Kobachi Artist Exhibition Newcomer Award ▶ Reiko Fukushima Fukushima Reiko 2015: Created ceramic panels for the waiting room at Kanazawa Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line.
