冬と春がせめぎ合う雛祭りの過ぎた頃、藤村州二さんの個展を開催いたします。 藤村さんは、三重県の津市で作陶する今年還暦を迎える陶芸家です。 藤村さんの師匠は、故 坪島土平さんと仰る近代数奇者として名高い川喜田半泥子のお弟子さんですので、藤村さんは、半泥子の孫弟子という事になります。
藤村さんの作品は、大胆な造形と見事な筆致からなる絵付けが特長で、その作域は、赤絵、色絵、染付から美濃陶の作品など多彩な作品を作られています。 実直なお人柄から愛陶家の皆様からの信望も厚く、また、作陶の傍ら茶の湯の稽古にも勤しまれ、茶の湯の用もよくお分かりです。 一昨年、弊廊のお得意様の素敵なお茶事に藤村さんと私の二人でお招きを頂いたのですが、その折、藤村さんは見事なお正客振りで、お陰様で楽しいひと時となりました。
さて、弊廊で二年振りとなる本展では、「赤色の陶芸」と題し、彼の十八番である赤絵や色絵といった赤色の加飾が施された作品に絞り、最新作を発表いたします。 会期中、藤村さんも在廊されますので、お忙しい中、恐縮ですが、どうぞご清覧をいただければ幸いです。
