The sake cup is the smallest piece I ever make. Because it's small, there's a feeling that the work is completed before I can incorporate everything I want to do, but on the other hand, I think it's possible to solidify my thoughts into the work in a relatively short amount of time. | Biography Biography | Born in 1977, from Chiba Prefecture. Currently working in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. 2001: Completed studies at the Tajimi City Ceramic Design Institute. 2011: Recipient of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Training Program for Emerging Artists (Boston, USA) 2020 Wako Zekka Exhibition: Superb Craftsmanship of the Reiwa Era Panasonic Shiodome Museum (Tokyo), Oyamazaki Villa Museum (Kyoto), Miyazaki Art Center (Miyazaki) 2021: Received the 2020 Japan Ceramic Society Award.
