| Introduction Introduction |
千家十職の方々とは、夫々に親しくしている。中でも土田家とは格別である。
土田家は、古い京の町なかにあって錦小路や寺町に近い。袋師友湖の作品がモダーンなのは、この地縁からくるのだろうかと想うときがある。
地球全体に大きなうねりが感ずるこのごろだが、こんなときこそと地に足を踏ん張って、猛暑を厭わず当主・半四郎君は弟・健君の大井沢へ出向き仕上げに勤しんでいるようだ。
いつも憶うことだが、職家の家には自然と先祖からうけ継いだ家風があって、それが伝統の絆となっているのだろう。
茶の道具というものは、単なる美術品ではなく、茶の湯の席で一座建立をするためのツールなのだ。二人はその点を生まれながら身につけているから、私の念いに叶い安心して何時もつかっている。

| Biography Biography | ▶ 土田半四郎 Born in Kyoto in 1968 as the eldest son of the twelfth generation Tsuchida Yuko. 1991: Graduated from Kyoto Junior College of Art, Advanced Course in Film Studies. 平成26年 十三代 袋師友湖 土田半四郎として家業を継承 ▶ 土田 健 昭和47年 十二代 土田友湖の次男として京都に生まれる In 2007, the "Choyuki Kiln" was established in Oisawa, at the foot of Mt. Gassan. In 2014, Director Kinoshita of the Kitamura Museum named it "Oisawa-yaki". |
