早いもので、弊廊での荒木節子さんの染の風景展も6回目を迎えます。 Ms. Araki is an artist who diligently creates dyed fabric works in her workshop on a hill overlooking the mountains from Tsurumi Station in Kanagawa Prefecture. His works encompass a wide range of materials, including kimono obi fabrics, tea ceremony cloths, folding screens, and wall hangings resembling paintings. I also love her work, and I cherish and use her men's obi and wall hanging pieces.
I believe the appeal of that artwork lies in its unique patterns created by layering beautiful colors. Even in places where ladies in traditional Japanese attire gather, such as tea ceremonies, Ms. Araki's obi sashes exude a wonderful aura that is instantly recognizable. I feel that Araki's works are a reflection of his gentle and unpretentious personality.
Now, at this year's Dyed Landscape Exhibition, we will be welcoming Mr. Yoshitani, a friend of Mr. Araki, to present his latest works. The Dyed Landscape Exhibition has captivated visitors with its wonderful displays every time. I'm also looking forward to seeing "where" the dyeing scene will be headed in 2022.

| Biography Biography | Born in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture Graduated from Rikkyo University, Faculty of Letters. I studied dyeing and weaving at Otsuka Textile College. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions throughout Japan. |
