荒木節子さんは二十年来の友人で、なかなか魅力のある婦人である。十数年ほど前から染めの仕事をするようになり、絹地に独創的な文様を描いた帯を主な作品にしている。かなり個性的な表現なので、無地あるいはそれに近い着物のおしゃれに眞向きの帯だと思う。彼女自身守備範囲をしぼった仕事に集中しているのだが、近年私の助言で風炉先屏風にも挑むようになり、ここでも大いに期待できる存在だと思う。 Tokyo National Museum Honorary Member / Kikuchi Hiromi Memorial Satoshi Museum Director Harumi Hayashiya

| Biography Biography | Born in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture Graduated from Rikkyo University, Faculty of Letters. I studied dyeing and weaving at Otsuka Textile College. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions throughout Japan. |
