Setsuko Araki has been a friend of mine for over twenty years and is a very charming woman. She started working in dyeing about a dozen years ago, and her main work is obi sashes with original patterns drawn on silk fabric. Her style is quite distinctive, so I think her obi sashes are perfect for pairing with plain or nearly plain kimonos. She herself has narrowed her scope of work and is concentrating on it, but in recent years, with my advice, she has also started to try her hand at folding screens for tea ceremony ceremonies, and I think she is a very promising talent in this field as well.

Biography		Born in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture
Graduated from Rikkyo University, Faculty of Letters.
I studied dyeing and weaving at Otsuka Textile College.
Since then, he has held solo exhibitions throughout Japan.
