| Introduction Introduction |
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to hold my fifth solo exhibition at Kakihaku Gallery.
This time, as with my second solo exhibition, I created works based on the same theme: Japanese spirit and Western influence, which is at the heart of my artistic creation. I have tried to express the blend of Western and Japanese styles in a more natural way, using colors that evoke a sense of calmness born from my life experiences.
We hope you will be able to feel these things from the exhibited works and enjoy using them.

| Biography Biography | Born in Yokohama in 1952. 1972: Studied abroad in Denmark. In 1978, she became the first Japanese person to work on the production of Royal Copenhagen's "Flora Danica" series for ten years. 1988: Opened a studio in the suburbs of Copenhagen. In 1990, I established "SCANTIPS," a European-style overglaze painting school, in Japan. In 2009, I held my first solo exhibition at the Ginza Wako Namikikan. Exhibited at the Omega Constellation Art Exhibition in 2010. 2011-2012: Collaboration project with Nicolai Bergmann, "Flower Shower" held. In 2012, I held my second solo exhibition at the Ginza Wako Hall. 2013: Exhibited at Isetan Tanseikai. In 2014, I held my first solo exhibition at Shibuya Seibu. 2016 Collaboration exhibition with Sugahara Glass "Harmony" exhibition at T-Art Gallery in Tennozu Isle, 2017. 2023 Shinjuku Park Tower Hall "PASSION" 17th TIPS Exhibition Isetan 2025: "Living a Rich Life with Furniture, Tableware, and Tea that Embody Elegance and Prestige" |

Thank you very much for your cooperation. ▶Invitation to the Japanese Spirit, Western Techniques Tea Ceremony A commemorative tea ceremony for this exhibition, "Japanese Spirit, Western Techniques Tea Ceremony," will be held in the tea room of Shinjuku Kakiden, located above the Kakiden Gallery. The event will be hosted by Mr. Toshirou Ishii , who is currently holding an exhibition at Kakiden Gallery, and Ristorante Hamasaki, a renowned Italian restaurant in Harajuku. For the tea ceremony, we plan to offer sweets specially baked by Chef Hamasaki for this occasion. Beginners who have never participated in a tea ceremony before are more than welcome, so please feel free to enjoy a cup of tea at Goshikizuki. We look forward to receiving your applications. • Date and Time: Wednesday, May 21st, two sessions available: 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. * Please gather at the reception/donation area (7th floor) 15 minutes before seating begins. ・Sekio Toshirou Ishii × Ristorante Hamasaki • Location: Shinjuku Kyo-kaiseki Kakiden (Yasuyo Building, 3-37-11 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) Reception and donations: An'yo Hall (7th floor) ↓ Light tea ceremony "Zangetsutei" (9th floor) ↓ Dim sum restaurant "Kokin Salon (6th floor)" ・Dim Sum The meal consists of a small appetizer, a tiered bento box filled with seasonal vegetables for May, a simmered dish, rice, and pickles.
