Cadeau de la part de Kyoto is a bag brand launched in 2018 by bag designer Hideko Yasumoto . "CADEAU" means "gift" in French.
These fabric bags are made using carefully selected materials from Japan, England, France, and Denmark, including tweed fabrics and interior fabrics from Denmark, all chosen by Ms. Yasumoto. These are custom-made bags that combine original clasp, tassel, and fringe designs with parts from traditional Japanese crafts such as chains, ribbon chains, tortoiseshell, bamboo, lacquer, and Sanada cord.
This second solo exhibition, " Hideko Yasumoto 's CADOU Kyoto Bag Exhibition II," comes two and a half years after her first solo exhibition, which was a great success at Kakiden Gallery in March 2022.
A wide variety of bags and Rikyu bags are available, including the hugely popular Hidden Dragon fabric. The new "Cadou Kyoto Sukiya Bag," exclusive to the Kakiden Gallery, will also be unveiled. It can be used not only for tea ceremonies but also as a bag-in-bag for everyday use while traveling.
Cadou Kyoto bags are haute couture bags crafted with meticulous handiwork. Ms. Yasumoto works diligently day and night in her atelier in Kyoto, creating each bag with care.

Thank you very much for your cooperation. ▶ Kasuikai/Hasegawa Soka x Cadou Kyoto Collaboration Tea Ceremony A commemorative tea ceremony for this exhibition, "Kasui-kai/Hasegawa Soka x Kadou Kyoto Collaboration Tea Ceremony," will be held in the tea room of Shinjuku Kakiden, located above the Kakiden Gallery. The host will be Mr. Muneyoshi Hasegawa, who presides over the "Kasuikai" in Setagaya, Tokyo. Even if you've never participated in a tea ceremony before, you are more than welcome, so please feel free to come and enjoy a cup of autumn matcha tea. Date and Time: Friday, October 4th, 2 PM seating [Fully Booked], 4 PM seating [Fully Booked], 6 PM seating [Fully Booked] * Registration will begin 60 minutes before your seating time. * Please gather at the reception/donation area (7th floor) 15 minutes before seating begins. - Host: Sōka Hasegawa (Urasenke school) • Location: Shinjuku Kyo-kaiseki Kakiden (Yasuyo Building, 3-37-11 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) Reception and donations: An'yo Hall (7th floor) ↓ Light tea ceremony "Zangetsutei" (9th floor) ↓ Dim sum restaurant "Kokin Salon (6th floor)" • Dim Sum: The meal consists of a small appetizer, a tiered bento box filled with seasonal vegetables, a simmered dish, rice, and pickles.
