Congratulations on your solo exhibition at Kakiden! I understand this will be your first solo exhibition, and I'm very much looking forward to it.
I believe Mr. Kakiden, who had a connection with the late Professor Haruzo Hayashiya (former deputy director of the Tokyo National Museum), would have been extremely pleased if he were still alive.
Having trained as an apprentice to the 13th head of the Enshu school of tea ceremony, Kobori Sōjitsu, and raised in a family of legitimate lineage in Enshu Takatori, the tradition of tea pottery has been ingrained in him since childhood, resulting in unparalleled skills and great potential for future growth.
As I hail from Nogata City in Fukuoka Prefecture, the birthplace of Takatori ware, I have a long-standing connection with the family, sharing a common hometown.
I understand that this solo exhibition will feature many new works that are in line with the times, and I believe it will be of interest to younger people as well. I sincerely hope that your first solo exhibition at Kakiden will be a great success.

| Biography Biography | Born in 1989 as the eldest son of the 13th generation Hachiyama. Graduated from Kyushu College of Art and Design in 2010. After returning to the kiln, spent three years creating pottery. In 2015, I trained under the head of the Enshu-ryu school of tea ceremony, Kobori Sōjitsu. In 2018, after returning to the kiln, he devoted himself to pottery under the guidance of the 13th generation master.
