オンライン展示の販売方法は、以下の通りとさせて頂きます。
We will start accepting orders by phone from 11:00 AM on the first day of the exhibition, Friday, May 7th, when the gallery opens.
To maintain accuracy in the order of reception, we only accept reservations by phone; unfortunately, we cannot accept reservations by email or fax.
From May 8th (Saturday), the second day of the event, we will also accept orders via email and fax.
・The artwork you have purchased will be temporarily held at our gallery until the paulownia wood box and other necessary preparations are complete. Once the paulownia wood box arrives and the artwork is ready for delivery, we will contact you again regarding payment and shipping methods.
・For customers who will be able to visit our gallery in person, payment can be made in cash or by credit card (VISA and Mastercard only) at the store.For customers receiving delivery, we kindly request that you make a bank transfer to our gallery's bank account (Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation). Please note that during the online exhibition period of this exhibition, there will be no transfer fees to our gallery's account.
・We will deliver your order to your specified address via Japan Post's Yu-Pack service. Please note that for orders under 20,000 yen (including tax), a separate shipping fee will be charged. For orders of 20,000 yen or more (including tax), delivery is free throughout Japan.

| Biography Biography | ■ Sumiko Aoki Aoki Sumiko [I've been exploring empathy like a journey ever since I started making pottery.] Born in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture Completed graduate studies in Ceramics at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts. In 1996, I began making pottery in Shigaraki. 1999: Selected for the Shigaraki Ceramic Art Exhibition. 2000: Built a kiln; selected for the International Craft Exhibition Itami. 2002: Selected for the International Ceramics Exhibition, Mino. Selected for the International Ceramics Exhibition Mino in 2008. 2013: Chozo Prize Ceramics Exhibition, Chozo Gold Prize (Grand Prix) 2014: 25th Shumei Cultural Foundation Award ■Sarou Onishi Onishi Satoki [Clay is a very fascinating material.] Sometimes it greatly disappoints expectations, and other times I find myself overjoyed to have obtained a treasure. I was worried and thinking about how to handle it. It can ignite a fighting spirit, lead you down a new path, and bring unexpected encounters. I think it's a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. Born in Shigaraki-cho, Shiga Prefecture in 1964. 1988: Graduated from Toyo University, Faculty of Sociology, Department of Applied Sociology. 1993: Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Advanced Technical School for Ceramics, Department of Design. 2006: 17th Shumei Cultural Foundation Award 2007: Contemporary Ceramics Hagi Grand Prize Exhibition (Yamaguchi Prefectural Hagi Museum of Art) 2008: Grand Prize, 1st "Imadoki, Shigaraki, Kayariki" Exhibition 2013: Certified as a Shigaraki ware traditional craftsman (general category). 2018: Selected for the 11th Contemporary Tea Ceremony Ceramics Exhibition, and selected for the 3rd Japan Ceramic Society Encouragement Award Kansai Exhibition. ■Tosei Okuda Okuda Sueo [To rise with a single sword] Born in Shigaraki-cho, Shiga Prefecture in 1966. 1987: Completed the Molding Course at Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Arts Vocational Training School. 1994 Solo exhibition at Gallery Touen (Shigaraki) 2006 Solo exhibition at Gallery Touen (Shigaraki) 2013 Solo exhibition at Gallery Touen (Shigaraki) 2018 Solo Exhibition at Gallery Yu (Shizuoka) 2019: 30th Shumei Cultural Foundation Award, Five Artists' Exhibition of Fine Pottery (Oribe, Nagoya) 2020: 30th Shumei Cultural Foundation Award Commemorative Exhibition (Gallery Toen, Shigaraki) In addition, I have exhibited in group exhibitions in various locations throughout the Kansai region. ■ Shusaku Kanzaki Kanzaki Shusaku [We inherit tradition, but we don't aim to be old-fashioned.] Works that are relevant to the times. Works created not as Shigaraki ware, but as the work of an artist. I want to create works that will endure in the present and into the future. | Work name | 信楽 捏ネズ茶盌［江田土］ The Eda district of Shigaraki town, where this clay was produced, has been a place where clay has been mined since ancient times, and even now, many clay companies are located there. I heard that clay was being excavated at a construction site, so I was allowed to dig. The layers were thin, and red clay, white clay, and coarse sand were mixed in in streaks. I tried kneading it and making various things, but they were rough, didn't fire properly, leaked water, and all I could make were completely uninteresting. I almost gave up, but the texture of the sliced excavated clay was beautiful, so I tried to incorporate this texture into my work by hollowing out and carving the clay lumps. What I ended up with was slicing together clay lumps with various textures. It is what is called the tatara method, but although tatara is usually used to achieve uniformity in the clay, I deliberately did not knead it in order to take advantage of the natural beauty of the patterns that cannot be achieved by human hands. The texture is a product of chance, but this appearance is exactly as it was when the clay was formed about 2.5 million years ago. I wanted to show this appearance, so I started making tea bowls. Hard, soft, coarse, dense, clay, sand—I shaped the clay by hand, feeling my way through it to confirm its characteristics. When fired in the anagama kiln, the crimson color and the shading of the patterns came out naturally, but as expected, it was coarse and leaked. I applied glaze to the inside, filled the cracks, and tried to stop the leaks, repeatedly firing it in a kerosene kiln. As the clay and glaze intertwined and melted together, I truly experienced the fascinating process of firing pottery. For me, this clay was a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, a new discovery. 本展ページにあるNo.2の同手の茶盌よりゴツゴツとした石が多く、形造りに苦慮した。そんな様子が作の形全体に現れていて、外観はとてもいびつな形に見えるが案外丸く収まってはいる。内側は施釉と焼成を繰り返している間に厚く釉が溜まったり、鉄分が溶けて黒い景色を付けてくれたりと面白い。正面を何処にするかは悩むが、一つこの作には飲んでみないと判らない光明がある。一箇所、それは、釉がガラス化した切れ込みから飲み干した時に現れる。 |

| Work name | 信楽 手捏ネ叩き茶盌［朝宮茶畑土］ 信楽は六古窯の焼き物の産地だが、五大銘茶でもあり最古の歴史がある朝宮茶の産地でもある。数年前茶農家の友人が茶畑を改植していたら粘土が出てきたので、使えるか分からないけど試してみて下さいと持ってきてくれたのがこの粘土との出会い。この粘土と白く粘りのある粘土の2種あった。 私は結構なお茶好き。造るなら茶器と決め、白い粘土は細かく粘りも有りろくろ成形も可能だったので、煎茶器を造った。 この粘土はどうするか？ 坯土は砂っぽく少し黄色系で鉄分が含まれていて、穴窯で焼けば赤い緋色は出ると感じていた。緋色の茶盌を狙おうと思った。しかし、可塑性は余りなくて捻り造りでさえ難儀したのでどうしたら良いかを考えていた。 今回、竜王土で今まで試みた事がなかった叩いて伸ばして形造る技法を試してからは、この粘土でも出来ると思った。大まかな形を楽茶碗のように手捏ねである程度造り、しばし乾燥してから叩いて伸ばして形を整えて成形する事でなんとか形にする事ができた。叩き技法は面白いなとこの土で感じた。 全体的に落ち着いた緋色が出てくれて気に入っている。 |

| Work name | 信楽 手捏ネ叩き茶盌［黄瀬土］ 黄瀬(きのせ)土は信楽を代表する粘土。坯土は白いが少量の鉄分を含み、長硅石が入り交じる強い蛙目粘土。信楽らしい美しい緋色を醸し出すが、もう掘ってはいない、この土は偶然手に入れた。粘りも少なかったので少し他の粘土を混ぜている。 手捏ネで形を造り、叩いて多角形型に成形してしてみた。窯詰めの際は火前に置いて引出シを狙った。引出シの場合、作品を熾きの中や棚の上などに移動させたりする。この作品も窯の中をあちこち移動し、途中行方不明にもなったが、見つけて、引出シはせずにそのまま置いておく事とした。 面を見ていくと、叩きの紋様も入れて有るので面ごとに窯変の表情や焼け方が少しづつ違う。そして、ビードロの流れが多方向になっているのが判るが、これは向きがコロコロ変わった事の現れ。高台に引っ付きを取る際の窯傷がある。 Sarou Onishi |

| Work name | 信楽 手捏ネ叩き茶盌［竜王土］ 滋賀県竜王町産出らしいこの土はだいぶ以前から塊であった。信楽外で信楽土のような白い良質の粘土が出るのは隣りの野洲市篠原当たりなので、きっと同じ地層だろう。炎が強く当たると黒くなる傾向だが、少し弱めだとオレンジ色のような緋色が出る。強い粘土なので、少し弱い信楽の粘土を入れて緋色が良く出るように試みた。 粒度を細かく篩ったので、可塑性が落ちてろくろ成形ではつまらない形状のものしか出来ず、手捻りでも成形しにくく困ったが、土が手にくっつく事がなかった。叩けば出来るのではないかとやってみると、上に伸びてくれるし形も少し歪な形が自然に出来る。叩きで成形するのは初めて、様々な形状や材質の物で確かめて、この茶盌は平たいスプーンで叩きながら狙いの形へと成形していけた。緋色はほぼ狙いの明るい色がでて、強く炎が当たる面のかせた灰被りもこの土の特徴だと思う。 |
