Introduction
Introduction

Using clay that changes moment by moment, the artist shapes their thoughts into form, applies Oribe glaze (copper glaze), seals the piece in a saya (a container made of refractory clay) and charcoal, and fires it in a carbonized state to create an oxygen-deficient environment, resulting in a matte red color.
The clay and glaze fuse together in the kiln, resulting in expressive, warm, and charming pieces.
This is my first exhibition at Kakiden Gallery. I will be displaying vases, tea ceremony utensils, ceramic stationery, and tableware. I would be delighted if you could come and see my work.
