| Biography Biography | Born in 1948 in Hirata City, Shimane Prefecture. 1987: Grand Prize at the Tanabe Museum of Art's Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition 1996: Encouragement Award at the Tanabe Museum of Art's Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition. Tanko Biennale Special Prize 1998 Tanko Biennale Encouragement Award In 1999, I held two outdoor tea ceremonies in Bhutan and took a deep breath. Aired on NHK BS2's "Exploring Pottery" 2000: Excellence Award at the Tanabe Museum of Art's Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition 2002: Gifu Prefectural Museum of Modern Ceramics, "100 Years of Modern Ceramics Exhibition" 2003: Encouragement Award at the Tanabe Museum of Art's Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition 2005: Held a tea ceremony and solo exhibition in India. Works held in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art 2007, Kyūbizu Yume Tea Ceremony in Tokyo 2008: Declared retirement Solo and group exhibitions held throughout Japan |
