私に「茶」の楽しさを教えてくれ、公私ともに親しくさせて頂いている漆工芸家の治兵衛さん。そのウィットに富んだ話術と、心豊かな優しいお人柄に惹かれ、様々なことを学ばせて頂きました。
ほぼ4年振りとなる今回の個展では、あたためていた新作の掛花入を含む、約50点を展観いたします。近年の無垢材をナタで削ぎ、ハツル表現の中から生まれた掛花入。果たしてどんな近作が出品されるか、私も楽しみでなりません。
治兵衛作品を通じ、新しい茶の世界を覗いてみてはいかがでしょうか。どうぞご批評を頂ければ幸いです。

Biography		昭和32年　東京都に生まれる
昭和50年　東京都立芸術高等学校卒業
昭和55年　東京造形大学彫刻科卒業
平成13年　三代目治兵衛を襲名、木地師として七代目を継ぐ
Since then, solo exhibitions have been held in various locations, including Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, Fukuoka Mitsukoshi, Isetan Main Store, and Ginza Matsuya.

平成22年　東京国立近代美術館工芸館 ｢現代工芸への視点 茶事をめぐって｣展出品
