| Biography Biography | Born in 1964 in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. Graduated from the molding course of the Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Arts Vocational Training School in 1988. Selected for the 38th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1991 (Heisei 3), and has been selected 19 times since. Received the "Newcomer Award" at the 50th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 2003. 2005: Received the Grand Prize at the 1st Kikuchi Biennale. 2007: Awarded at the 36th New Ceramics Exhibition, Japan Crafts Association. Received the "Encouragement Award" at the 3rd Kikuchi Biennale in 2009. In 2011, it was selected for the 2010 Mino Ceramic Art Permanent Preservation Project (Tono Shinkin Bank). 2012: Recognition for meritorious service in preserving traditional culture in Gifu Prefecture (2011 fiscal year) Recipient of the 32nd Pola Award for Traditional Culture, "Encouragement Award". |
