7月の暑い日、山口県防府市にある加藤一郎工房を訪ねました。山の中腹にある工房からは周防灘が眼下に広がり、遥か向こうには九州・国東半島を臨む風光明媚な地で、加藤さんは作陶を続けています。 加藤作品は、布目地に色絵彩色を施した作風を主にされています。これまでの作品は、どちらかというと静かで素直な造形のものでしたが、先日、工房で拝見した近作は、同じ布目地ながら、力強く大胆な造形に進化しており、嬉しく思いました。 よく見ると、加藤氏自身も日焼けされ、身体もより逞しくなった様子で、成る程とひとりごちた所です。 実直な人柄と素敵な笑顔でファンの多い加藤一郎さん。柿傳ギャラリーでの二年振りとなる個展に、どうぞご期待下さい。 Shop owner Takashi Yasuda |
