Takeshi Kawasaki is a pure and innocent person with no greed.

Therefore, I don't have any ambitions like wanting to win awards or become famous.

He is an artist who always calmly and steadily creates what he wants to create.

Kawasaki's representative "City Series" is influenced by Cézanne's landscape paintings, and its characteristic feature is its geometric composition using squares and triangles. Similar square and triangular forms can also be seen in Kawasaki's three-dimensional works.

Cézanne's landscape paintings evoke a sense of profound depth amidst soft sunlight, while Kawasaki's three-dimensional works depict tranquil moments and deep shadows through the light filtering through somewhat muted white houses and cityscapes.

This artwork, "The City," depicts a dreamlike city in Kawasaki, featuring square houses, stairs, brass poles, a swimming pool, and other elements.

On the other hand, the porcelain vessels decorated with cobalt blue and red iron oxide have been produced since his graduate school days, and they depict things that Kawasaki likes, such as bicycles, chairs, and flowers.

It's the kind of dish you'll want to use again once you've used it.

This exhibition will feature numerous works, including pieces from the "City" series, as well as the "Suburbs (Clouds)" and "Box" series, along with plates, bowls, pedestaled stands, coffee cups, and vases.
