| Introduction Introduction |
岩佐さんは島根県の出雲で懸命に作陶する陶芸家です。 そして、徳雲寺という臨済宗のお寺のご住職でもあります。 私も大勢の陶芸家の皆様にお世話になっておりますが、陶芸家と住職という全く異なる二足の草鞋をはかれる方は初めてお目にかかりました。 その作品も、単なる陶器ではなく、陶器に銀箔を貼った漆を施しておられます。 陶芸とお寺の仕事の様に、陶器と漆という普通に考えると大変な二つの事をいとも簡単になさり、私は感嘆しております・・・。
まだまだ寒かった睦月の一日、そんな岩佐さんを訪ねました。 岩佐さんの工房は出雲空港と出雲大社のほぼ中間にあり、陶芸家の職場である工房の隣には、ご住職の職場である江戸末期創建の徳雲寺の立派な本堂がありました。 工房に入ると、素敵なギャラリー空間が広がっており、陳列されていた最新作の茶碗や花入が素敵な作品達で思わず笑みも溢れます。 工房に流れる音楽はお好きなJAZZとの事で、私も同好ですので、美味しい地元のお菓子を頂きつつ、陶芸談義に加え、ひとしきり音楽談義にも花が咲きました。
さて、弊廊で初となる本展では、最新作の茶陶と、使い勝手の良いうつわなど100点余を発表致します。 本展のメインビジュアルとなる裏面の「銀彩墨流茶碗」は、しっとりとした漆の風合いに、控えめにきらっと輝く銀箔が独特の佇まいを見せています。 掌へのおさまりも良く、抹茶の緑も映える事でしょう。 黄金週間前の気ぜわしい時期で恐縮ですが、弊廊も静かにJAZZを流しつつ、皆様のご清覧をお待ち申し上げております。
末尾になりますが、岩佐さんとのご縁を紡いでくださった同じ出雲で作陶する三原研さんと嘉子さんの陶芸家ご夫妻にこの場を借りて厚くお礼申し上げます。 至らぬ弊廊で本展が開催できるのもお二人のお陰です。 thank you very much.
