| Introduction Introduction |
The dark night gave way to dawn. The sun rises and the sun sets. We create pottery based on everyday life. I am grateful for this opportunity to exhibit my work. I would be grateful if you would take a look and offer your guidance.
Osamu Saitou Kaori
April, a month of blooming flowers. We will be holding the first exhibition in Tokyo by Osamu Saitou and his wife, Kaori. After studying pottery techniques under the renowned Bizen ware craftsman Yuuhou Kaneshige , Ri-san co-founded " Toukoubou Yuu " with Yuuhou's sons, Shusaku and Yosaku, and has been actively involved as a member ever since.
Our gallery has hosted numerous exhibitions of his work, so many pottery enthusiasts have likely had the opportunity to see his pieces. I am delighted to hear that you have now graduated from " Toukoubou Yuu ," become independent, and built your own kiln in Setouchi City, near Okayama.
Now, in this exhibition, we will be presenting fresh and practical tea utensils and everyday tableware like those shown above. Risa and Kaori, who are also dedicated to practicing the tea ceremony, have many fans thanks to their sincere personalities. I would be delighted if you would take a look at it.
