| Introduction Introduction |
I no longer find modern things particularly novel, and instead find classical works refreshing. It seems that the current trend is towards a return to classical styles. In this context, I am aiming to create tea bowls with a refined, wabi-sabi aesthetic. I am constantly experimenting and refining my pottery, wondering if I can find a unique form that emerges naturally in the process of deepening that wabi aesthetic, and if I can create a world that feels both old-fashioned and new. The exhibition will primarily feature Goryeo and Raku tea bowls. We would be grateful for your viewing and any guidance you may offer. Kohei Nakamura |
