三原嘉子さんの器

昨年、玉造温泉の奥にある三原研さんの陶房を訪れた。雑談を交わしつつ工房に入ると、棚の上に白釉のかかったカップがあった。手にとると白化粧の粉引手なのだが、胴に小鳥、蝶、兔、猫と小さな葉をもつ小枝を散在させた、閑かな装飾的な浮き模様が私をなごませてれくれた。

嘉子夫人との初めての出会いであったが、カップの作者であり、他にも魅力的な文様の皿もあって、気に入った私は早速分けてもらい、カップを六つ注文した。

このたびの個展の話はそこから派生し、いまや日本現代陶芸の旗手の一人となった三原研さんも、会場の奥に作品を陳べてくれるそうである。
