| Biography Biography | Born in 1957 as the eldest son of the 13th generation Tarouemon Nakazato 1979: Graduated from Musashino Art University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Sculpture. 1981: Completed graduate studies at the same university. In 1983, he began making pottery at Tarouemon Nakazato Pottery Studio, run by the 13th generation. 1984: First selected for the 16th Nitten Exhibition: "Kai-ryoku" (Shell Green), a hand-painted blue Karatsu ware vase. In 2000, received the Minister of Education Award at the 5th Asian Crafts Exhibition. In 2002, he succeeded to the name of the 14th Tarouemon Nakazato 2003: Selected for the 50th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition for "Hitaki Karatsu Yakishime Jar". In 2005, my "Karatsu Ido Tea Bowl" was selected for the 52nd Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition. From then until 2010, she was selected six times. In 2007, became a full member of the Japan Crafts Association. In 2011, he received the Karatsu City Municipal Service Award and the Blue Ribbon Medal. |
