Ms. Takagaki is enthusiastically pursuing the path of celadon pottery. I recently saw her newly created madder celadon pieces and felt a strong connection to them. Celadon has a long history in China, Korea, and Japan, but Takagaki's new crimson celadon is unlike anything seen before. The glazed surface, created by applying celadon glaze over a makeup base, captivated me with its unique color tones and moist texture. The shapes gradually become gentler, resulting in vessels with a beautiful glaze that blends seamlessly with the surrounding materials.
