| Introduction Introduction |
This time, we have planned an exhibition that questions what "iki" (sophistication/elegance) means, and will explore the framework of iki within the quotation marks. I hope this exhibition will prompt reflection on the relationship between the artist's "humanity" and their expression. Please take a look.
Each person has a firm belief. The writers' collective [Project Iki]. Eight artists from diverse fields, including ceramics, kiln makers, calligraphers, photographers, Kamakura-bori (Kamakura-style wood carving), and glass artists, are featured here.
