| Biography Biography | Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1948. 1967: Moved to the United States From 1969 to 1980, I studied sculpture and ceramics in various parts of Japan. Studied under Mr. Goro Furudate (painter and researcher of old Karatsu ware). 1981: Kiln opened in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. 1996 Participated in the Japan-Korea Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition (Enhaku) 1998: Exhibited at the Korea-Japan Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition (Korea) 2003: Three-Person Exhibition of Japanese and French Artists (Kyushu Ceramics Museum) 2004: Gallery Shun, Hiroo, Tokyo (Solo Exhibition) 2007: Two-person exhibition of wood carving and ceramic sculpture (Hankyu Umeda Department Store) 2010: Exhibited at the 2010 Karatsu Ware Exhibition (Kakiden Gallery, Tokyo) |
