Introduction
Introduction

If someone asked me what my favorite season is, I would definitely answer "winter."

Perhaps it's because I was born in February, but I think it's also because I love the crisp air of winter mornings and, above all, snow.

(To those in areas suffering from snow, and to those who had a terrible time in the recent heavy snowfall, please accept my apologies.)

In this winter season, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding a group exhibition, the first in four years, exclusively featuring "white tableware" that evokes the feeling of a snowy landscape.

The exhibiting artists are ten up-and-coming ceramic artists from all over Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Saga in the south, with whom we have a long-standing relationship. They will be presenting over 70 pieces, including white tea bowls, white vases, and white tableware.

They meticulously craft beautiful white pottery, and even within the category of white, the shapes and shades of white vary considerably.

This exhibition isn't about ten different people, but rather a "one color" exhibition focusing exclusively on the color white.

I am also looking forward to the day when our gallery is filled with white, so I would be delighted if you would come and enjoy the exhibition.
