| Biography Biography | Born in 1910 in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture. 1988: Graduated from the Graphic Design Department of Toyo Art School, a vocational school. I'm going to Arita Town in Saga Prefecture for training. 1993: Returned home from Arita Town and studied under his father, Katsuji. 1995: Chiba Prefectural Cultural Promotion Foundation Chairman's Award 1996: First selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition; subsequently selected 8 times. First time selected for the Traditional Crafts New Works Exhibition; subsequently selected 10 times. 1997: First time selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition; subsequently selected four more times. 2003: Chiba Prefectural Art Association Award 2004: Solo exhibition at Takashimaya, Nihonbashi, Tokyo. Since then, exhibitions have been held regularly. 2005: Became a full member of the Japan Crafts Association 2006 Chiba Prefecture Exhibition Award 2009: Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition; purchased by the Imperial Household Agency. |
