福島善三さんは、慶長年間以来、窯煙をあげてきた小石原焼の家に生れ、長じて作陶の道に入った。日本伝統工芸展に昭和63年に入選して以来、十九回の入選を果し、平成15年の第五〇回展には日本工芸会総裁賞を受賞。彼の伝統を踏まえつつ完成度の高い独自の作風は高く評価され、翌年にもMOA美術館の岡田茂吉賞優秀賞を受賞している。 このたび、はじめて柿傳ギャラリーで個展を開かれることになったのであるが、どのような作品を見せていただけるか、私は楽しみにしている。 Tokyo National Museum Honorary Member / Kikuchi Hiromi Memorial Satoshi Museum Director Harumi Hayashiya |
