With the arrival of Kannazuki (October), Shinjuku has also become cooler. Autumn is deepening.

We are pleased to announce that our gallery will be exhibiting a small number of works at the "Connecting Tea Boxes Exhibition - The Joy of Reinterpretation" held on the 7th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi from Wednesday, October 18th to Tuesday, October 31st.

This exhibition was planned by Ginza Mitsukoshi with the following objectives in mind.

The "tea culture" has shaped various aspects of Japanese lifestyle and culture.

And then there's the "culture of relativity," born and nurtured from the unique aesthetic sense, methods of creation, and philosophy of Japanese culture.

The "tea box" was created by combining these two elements.

This year marks the third annual Ginza Mitsukoshi Tea Box Exhibition. This time, the theme is the enjoyment of "reinterpretation" or "imagination."

This historic tea box, made from reclaimed wood, is crafted by Takano Takeko, a company based in Kyoto that undertakes temple restoration work and other projects.

With the theme of "connecting," this project will expand the possibilities of tea boxes and convey the joy of them, featuring interpretations by prominent figures active in various fields.

I'm pleased to announce that five artists I regularly work with will be exhibiting their recent works.

We would be delighted if you could stop by the 7th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi while you're out shopping in Ginza.
