I'm really looking forward to the autumn breeze these days.
In rural areas, the custom of giving a shop a family name still persists. By the way, our family name is "Hiroya".
In the past, cotton was a thriving industry in this region, and my family ran a dye shop from the late Edo period until my grandfather's generation.
Since this is a parent-child exhibition, we decided to call it the Hiroya Exhibition.
In today's self-centered age, I truly feel that the thoughtfulness and consideration for others that comes with drinking tea is a sign of refined elegance.

| Biography Biography | □ Hiro Ajiki Born in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture in 1948. 1969: Dropped out of Musashino Art University, Department of Oil Painting. From 1971 to 1973, I traveled through India, Europe, and Africa. 1987: Won the Grand Prize at the Tabe Museum of Art's "Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition" for its salt-glazed water container. 1996: Received a Special Award from Grand Master Hounsai Sen Soshitsu at the 4th Tanko Biennale, Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition. 2002: Exhibited and acquired for the "100 Years of Contemporary Ceramics" exhibition, commemorating the opening of the Gifu Museum of Modern Ceramics. 2005: The Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY) exhibited and acquired the Basara tea bowl. 2011: Exhibition of Tea Bowls with Paintings, Kakiden Gallery 2013 "Black Teacups x 65" Exhibition: A Universe in the Palm of Your Hand, Kakiden Gallery Solo exhibition featuring tea bowls at J. | notice Notice | ■ Invitation to a [Self-Proclaimed Memorial Tea Ceremony for Mr. Haruzo Hayashiya] [August 26th (Sat)] This spring, we lost Professor Seizo Hayashiya, and we are deeply saddened. Here at Kakiden, he held a "Tea Ceremony Enthusiasts' Club Tea Gathering" with the theme "Questioning the Present," aiming for 100 sessions, but it ended after 58 sessions. We are very saddened by this. This time, as a way of remembering Professor Hayashiya, and given that it's the middle of a summer day, I'd like to create a cool setting for a tea ceremony in the style of a late-night talk, where you can enjoy cold tea prepared using the shaker method. Even Professor Hayashiya, after trying the cold tea prepared in a shaker, said, "Ah, this is delicious. I think I'll try making it myself," so you can be sure it's delicious. Aloha shirts, saris, and yukata are all welcome, so we look forward to your visit.
