| Biography Biography | Born in Gifu Prefecture in 1935. Winner of the Prime Minister's Award at the Saitama Ceramics Exhibition Fletcher International Ceramics Exhibition (New Zealand) Gold Medal Winner at the 48th Faenza International Ceramics Exhibition, 1993 (Italy) Winner of the Excellent Work Award and the Mainichi Shimbun Award at the 14th Japan Ceramics Exhibition. Numerous awards received, including at the Asahi Ceramics Exhibition, the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and the Japan Ceramics Exhibition. |
