Introduction

He passed away so suddenly on December 5th last year. He loved pottery, and spent his life searching for the essence of pottery, searching for clay and glazes, and putting his own ideas into practice. Though his life was still a work in progress, I believe it was a joyful and happy life. His last work, the "Snow Firefly Bowl," made with Echigo-Tsumari clay and glaze, with a translucent white slip, was fired and taken out of the kiln the night before his funeral. I would love for you to see it.
I hope you will keep in mind that there was a potter named Akira Yoshida ...
