| Introduction Introduction |
I am pleased to announce that I will be holding a tea bowl exhibition at Kakiden. This is all thanks to the support of Professor Haruzo Hayashiya and the assistance of gallery owner Takashi Yasuda, and I am filled with gratitude. I started making pottery in 1975. I've always been self-taught. I have held over 30 solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Nagano, and other locations. I tried various types of clay, but this time I fired pieces using clay from Ido, Hagi, and Karatsu. I spent years hoping to create a serene tea bowl, and while a truly "dignified" piece may be impossible, I often wish I had a few more years to work on it. I would be extremely grateful if you would take the time to look at it. Yuuki Nishitani |
