Biography
Biography
Born in 1950 as the eldest son of the thirteenth generation Kanzan.
Completed graduate studies in sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1977.
In 1999, she was selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition and the Japan Ceramics Exhibition, and received awards at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Exhibition and the West Japan Ceramics Art Exhibition, among others.
Purchased by the Imperial Household Agency in 2002.
2008: The Tradition of Hagi Ceramics ~Inheritance and Innovation~ (Yamaguchi Prefectural Hagi Museum of Art and Urakami Memorial Hall)
Currently, a full member of the Japan Crafts Association and a permanent executive committee member of its Yamaguchi branch.
