Introduction
Introduction

Those of us born in the Year of the Monkey, along with our friends, will be holding a group exhibition titled "Heisei Shin Sarugaku Ki" (New Record of Sarugaku in the Heisei Era).

I used my ingenuity to create works ranging from everyday items to tea ceremony utensils.

We hope you enjoy playing with us.

I would be delighted if I could create ripples in your hearts.

Ryoukei Kobori the 19th head priest of Kohōan Temple

Shin Sarugaki (New Record of Sarugaku)... A book written by Fujiwara no Akihira, a scholar of the mid-Heian period. It humorously describes a family who visits Kyoto one evening to see a Sarugaku performance that is causing great laughter.
