I've known Ms. Hyakuta for a long time through the Kakiden Gallery, and we've become close friends.A rising ceramic artist from Aritais.
I recently visited the Hyakuta Workshop in Arita. last year,Ms. Momota has completed a truly wonderful workshop and gallery in the mountains of Arita.
I initially thought it was the work of a famous architect, but it turns out he designed the entire thing himself.
Talented people can do anything, not just pottery.
Now, this time we will be looking at the products made in this wonderful workshop.The exhibition focuses on the latest work, titled "Irodori" (Color).I will. He splattered glaze onto white and celadon porcelain, creating beautiful pieces like the one pictured above, known as "Irodori" (Color).
This piece, "Color," was also exhibited at my solo exhibition two years ago, but this version is even more refined, more expansive, and more beautiful than the previous one.
The event will run for two weeks, so we would be delighted if you could stop by the 5th floor of the main building while you're shopping at Isetan Shinjuku.

| Biography Biography | Born in 1971 in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. Graduated from Arita Technical High School, Ceramics Department in 1990. In 1994, I studied under Professor Shun'emon Okugawa. 1995 Opening of Akatsuki Kiln Selected for the Chishin Museum of Art's "Contemporary Tea Ceremony - Function and Form -" exhibition in 2012 (Minato-ku, Tokyo). Selected for the 2013 Japan Ceramics Exhibition. Selected for the 2014 Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition (12th time selected). 2015: New studio and gallery "in blue Akatsuki" completed; received the Toki City 60th Anniversary Special Commemorative Award at the Contemporary Tea Ceremony Ceramics Exhibition (Toki City, Gifu Prefecture). |
