We will be holding a solo exhibition by French ceramic artist Andoche for the first time in two years.
His workshop is located in Rubignac, a beautiful little mountain village in southern France. I've always wanted to visit Rubignac, but I've never actually been there. When I look at the photographs of Lubignac taken by Andus, I am captivated by the beautiful and tranquil scenery.
This solo exhibition will showcase recent works from the village of Lubignac, including refined and uniquely styled tea bowls, boldly shaped vases, flower vases, and sake vessels with freely applied glazes.
Andusz, who always has a kind smile on his face and loves Japan, will also be celebrating his birthday during the exhibition period. We apologize for the inconvenience during this busy time of year, but we would be delighted if you could come and visit.

| Biography Biography | Born in 1946 in Cubrac, Corrèze, France. In 1970, he majored in aesthetics and philosophy at the University of Paris Nanterre, where he obtained his doctorate. After that, he began creating and exhibiting abstract paintings as a painter, Fascinated by the spirit of the Japanese tea ceremony, I aspired to pursue a career in pottery. In 1999, I stayed in Kyoto for four months and wrote "Japanese Ceramics: From its Origins to 2000 Years," which was published in Paris. Since then, she has held numerous solo exhibitions in France and throughout Japan. In 2006, she published "Etes vous RAKU?", a book about Raku ware, in Paris. In 2010, exhibited at the Sagawa Art Museum, Raku Kichizaemon Hall, in the exhibition "Kichizaemon X Under the Sky of Loubignac". Exhibited at the 2012 Santa Fe Museum of Art International Ceramics Association (IAC) exhibition. Solo exhibition held at Kakiden Gallery in 2013. |
