| Introduction Introduction |
Mitsunori is the son of popular ceramic artist Moritoshi Tokusawa, who lives in Fukuoka Prefecture, and is a promising young ceramic artist who mainly works on tea ceremony ceramics. The Tokusawa family is very close, and in the spring, while creating pottery, they also enjoy practicing the tea ceremony together in the tea room of their home and workshop, where cherry blossoms flutter down. This exhibition, my first solo exhibition at our gallery, is titled "Tea Bowl Exhibition" and will feature recent works such as white Karatsu ware and faceted tea bowls. The most appealing aspects of Mitsunori's work are undoubtedly its powerful forms and beautiful textures. I also love and frequently use Mitsunori's tea bowls, and now that he has reached the age of 40, I am very much looking forward to seeing what kind of recent tea bowls he will be exhibiting. Mr. Mitsunori, a kind-hearted man who always has a smile on his face, will be at the venue every day during the exhibition period, so we would be delighted if you could come and see his work.
