Introduction
Introduction

Nishinaka is a unique figure among the glass artists currently active in the industry.

Using a technique he calls "yobitsugi," he creates unique and distinctive tea ceremony utensils, including not only jars and bowls, but also water containers, tea bowls, and tea caddies.

The technique of joining together two or three different types of glass allows for extremely free development of artistic style, but for that reason, it's important not to overdo it.
