Introduction
Introduction

—in blue—

This is the name of Mr. Hyakuta's kiln, as indicated in the subtitle.

When asked why he chose "in blue," he explained that he likes the color blue and puts his greatest emphasis on using blue in his work.

Indeed, I think the blue in Hyakuta's works is deep, lustrous, and very beautiful.

Now, for our third solo exhibition, we will be showcasing works that represent a new style, titled "Line" and "Color."

Both works feature pale skin adorned with blue and other colors, and the beauty of the negative space is captivating; I really love this recent work.

Last year, Ms. Momota became independent from her family's Arita porcelain trading company, "Momota Touen," and it is said that a new workshop and gallery will be completed next spring on a hill overlooking the mountains of Arita.

Ms. Momota, who always has a friendly smile on her face, will be at the venue every day during the exhibition period.

We look forward to your visit.
