| Introduction Introduction |
I first encountered Nakamura's work at the Tanko Biennale Tea Ceremony Exhibition held in 1991. I was drawn to her refreshing style and recommended her for the Tankosha Prize. Following this, true to his Hokkaido roots, he continued to produce works that incorporated the refreshing scenery of snowfields, establishing a distinctive style. And now, he is well known in Hokkaido, and his works, such as tea bowls and water containers, have become increasingly refined, leading to where he is today. Seizo Hayashiya |
