Yoshiko Mihara , wife of Ken Mihara , one of the leading figures in contemporary ceramics, is holding her second solo exhibition at Kakiden Gallery. Just like last time, she has created many small, cute white birds to bring into the living rooms of many people. Each of her works, possessing a gentle and unique beauty that only a woman can offer, soothes my heart. Moreover, this one is even more dignified and appealing than the last. | Biography Biography | Graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Crafts, Ceramics Major (Seminar of Mitsuru Yamada) in 1982. After graduation, studied under Professor Kenji Funaki for two years. Solo exhibition at Kakiden Gallery in 2011. Numerous solo and group exhibitions held in various locations. Currently in production in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. |
