We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a father-daughter exhibition at Kakiden Gallery for the first time in three years. Last year, we had the opportunity to present a kettle, a collaborative work between father and daughter, to Ise Grand Shrine, which was celebrating its Shikinen Sengu (periodic rebuilding of the shrine). Furthermore, it was a wonderful year for me, as my own kettle was used in the movie "Ask Rikyu," which was released in December. | Biography Biography | □Shozo's brief biography Born in 1952 in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture. He learned the techniques of making tea ceremony kettles from his father, the second-generation Shozo. She received instruction from both Masters Hyoko Kazue and Kenzo Koga. Nara Saidaiji Temple dedicates a large cauldron for the "Great Tea Ceremony." The temples of Akishino-dera in Nara and the Kitabayashi-in and Hoju-in of Todai-ji Temple have dedicated their ceremonial kettles to these temples. Cauldrons were dedicated to Chūgū-ji Temple, Yakushi-ji Temple, and Kashihara Shrine. In 2004, he succeeded to the name of Shozo III. Exhibitions are held in various locations including Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka. 2013: Dedicated a cauldron to Ise Grand Shrine. □Naoko's brief biography Born in 1981 in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture.
